Friends of Rowville Primary School (FORPS)
Who are FORPS and what do we do?
Friends of Rowville Primary School (otherwise known as FORPS) are a small group of parents who volunteer our time to help raise money for the students at our school. All funds raised directly benefit our school.
FORPS fundraising has enabled the school to establish the junior sports precinct, purchase computers, install the running track, soccer pitch and build the pirate ship playground. At this point in time our focus is on raising funds for an upgrade to our library facilities.
FORPS plan lots of fun and exciting activities including a Walkathon, Easter Raffle, Disco, FTG Motorgroup Great Community Raffle, Chocolate Drive, Trivia Night, Bunnings BBQ plus the most important activity - the Mother’s & Father’s Day Stalls.
The role of FORPS is to provide a means for parents, grandparents or guardians of current and even past students to:
- Develop friendships within the school community
- Support the school by improving the quality of resources available through effective fundraising activities
- Enjoy a greater involvement with the school
In 2016, FORPS run activities and events generated over $34,500. As well as fundraising, FORPS assist and supports the teachers and the school, behind the scenes as required.
We have a regular monthly meeting on a Monday at 7.30pm.
